Met friends from Lubbock in Coleman for a short girls weekend. We were NOT disappointed! The Terrace Inn is a mid century modern lovers dream. The owners, Mark and Jane are incredibly welcoming and hospitable. We were greeted with a yummy martini, offered a tour, and they gave us great recommendations of places to visit. The inn is pristine and comfortable - the mattresses and bedding are divine...we all slept like babies. The Terrace Inn is perfect for a girls weekend (check out "The Loft"), but also planning to bring my husband soon for a getaway. We were served a delicious, made-to-order breakfast to top off our experience. The town itself is charming. Great food, wine, shopping and friendly people throughout. We felt like part of the town! I highly recommend a trip to this cozy little Texas town and stay at The Terrace Inn!

It sits up on the hill over looking down towards the town. It's peace and quaint. The moment you step in it's like stepping back in time, with rooms called the Frank Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe suites. It's beautiful and refreshing as well as relaxing

I was blown away by the hospitality of Jane & Mark and the town of Coleman! Everyone we encountered was so friendly. The accommodations at The Terrace Inn and specifically The Loft were awesome - such fun decor and the beds were heavenly. Upon arrival Mark made us their specialty "Loftini" and they gave us a tour of the property and history of the house and loft. They also gave us several suggestions of fun things to do around town. Their breakfast was made to order and loved the muffins made with their sourdough starter that has been in their family for generations. I can't wait to bring my husband for a fun, relaxing getaway!

After a 12 hour road trip we arrived at this beautifully restored Inn. The owners, Jane and Mark were gracious and hospitable. Jane took us inside what could only be described as one of the most beautifully restored mid-century modern homes we have seen. Jane offer us a handcrafted cocktail designed specifically for the Terrace Inn and gave us some history of the house. Owen and I chose to stay in the Loft, the extension next door to the Inn. The Loft has it's own amazing personality and is perfect for families, a girls' weekend, or just a couple who prefer to have some alone time. It has a kitchen and two bedrooms, making it ideal for privacy, group gatherings or a small family reunion. We enjoyed some of the best sleep on our Frette Linens and King Size Bed. The amenities were high end and sophisticated, with the hand crafted soap made nearby. As seasoned travellers we were very impressed and when we sat down to breakfast the following morning, Mark really took our culinary experience to a new level. Mark makes his own breakfast sausage that could easily be marketed. He and Jane very much enjoy pampering their guests. The eggs were done perfectly and Jane adds her special touch by creating beautifully designed and coordinated dishes such as her special hash brown casserole, fresh fruit, yogurts, home made bread and buffins (combination biscuit and muffin). You must experience these yourself, as I must leave you with some surprises. It is not often you find a couple who have a gift for hospitality, food and knowledge of the area as these two have. With Jane and Mark on the committee for economic development in Coleman, this place will soon attract those who long for a beautifully sophisticated experience while shopping for mid-century treasures. There is a wonderful place in Coleman for retro 50's & 60's furniture and memorabilia which attracts big city buyers from Dallas, Houston, Austin and L.A. Before we signed the guest book we were already planning my next trip back to the Terrace Inn. It's worth the drive!

Retro Charm and Sophistication”

I had NO idea Coleman, Texas was going to be so amazing! This B&B was incredibly classy, clean, and well run. One of the nicest places I have ever stayed and I travel a lot! It was the perfect home base for a fun day in the charming town. The leaders of Coleman are obviously working hard at creating a nice town to visit and this Inn is a big part of that work. I think this is the answer to a less expensive Hill Country experience with less travel for West Texans and DFW area residents! Living in Lubbock, I never imagined finding a good weekend trip without a 5+ hour drive!
